How to play

Everything you need to know to compete in Mundialeta.

What is it about?

Mundialeta is a fantasy football game for the 2026 World Cup. You build a team of real players and earn points based on how they perform in each match. You compete against your friends by block and in the overall ranking.

The tournament is divided into 7 blocks. In each one you build a new team with a budget of 100 credits. Points from all blocks add up for the global ranking.

The 7 blocks

Each block covers a phase of the tournament. When a block is open, you can build or edit your team. Once it closes, your team is locked.

Building your team

Budget: 100 credits per block. Each player has a fixed price based on their market value (1 to 12 credits).
Squad: 11 starters + 4 substitutes. Your team must be complete to save it and compete.
Formation: 1 goalkeeper required. You can freely choose the number of defenders, midfielders and forwards.
Per-nation limit: Maximum 3 players from the same national team.
Available players: You can only pick players from nations with upcoming matches in the current block.
Lock: Once the block starts, if your team is complete it is locked until that phase ends.

Tips

  • In the knockout rounds fewer teams remain. Use the group stage blocks to rack up points with smaller nations that play many matches.
  • If you're running low on budget, use the Max. N credits filter to see only the players you can afford.
  • Your progress is saved as a draft automatically. To compete you need to save the complete team.

Scoring system

Points are calculated automatically after each match.

Friend groups

You can create a private group and compete with your friends separately from the overall ranking. From the Home section you can create a group or join one with a code.

The ranking inside a group shows the same positions as the overall ranking, filtered to group members only.

Overall ranking

The overall ranking adds up points from all blocks. You can see the breakdown of each block by clicking any player in the ranking.

At the end of the tournament, the winner is whoever has accumulated the most points in the global ranking.
